Davido donates N250 million to 292 orphanage homes

Lagos – Popular musician David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has fulfilled his promise by donating N250million to 292 selected orphanages across the country.

Davido confirmed this in a statement on his Instagram page while giving an update on his promise to donate the amount to selected orphanages in the country.

He had in November 2021 asked his friends and colleagues to donate one million Naira each for an N100million target.

He, however , received N200million from friends and colleagues in the industry and added N50 million, making 250million.

The musician thereafter disclosed that the money would be donated to orphanages in Nigeria.

In a recent statement on his Instagram page, David said “I bring you an update as promised.

” Since its inauguration, the members of the committee have worked tirelessly to ensure that they collate the names and information of the documented and verified orphanages.

“So far, the total of N250m has been disbursed to 292 orphanages.

“I thought it wise to give you my loyal fans, friends, and family an update in this regard.

“Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Thank you for your continuous support and prayer.

“Always remember, we rise by lifting others.” (vitalnews)
