Kano – The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) have approved the appointment Ahmed Dangana, as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO)

Dangana is a seasoned management consultant and a business turnaround specialist.

His appointment followed the take over of KEDCO and two other distribution companies by the Fidelity Bank PLC.

Ibrahim Sani Shawai, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, KEDCO confirmed this in a statement.

The take over of the three DiSCOs by the bank prompted the Federal Government to restructure five DisCos.

Other members of the board are; Mr. Nelson Ahaneku, Engr Rabiu Suleiman, Mr Amaechi C. Aloke and Dr Bashir Gwandu. (vitalnewsngr.com)
