Buhari Confirms Dauda Biu as FRSC Corps Marshall , Approves Other Appointments

Abuja – President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dauda Ali Biu as the Corps Marshall/CEO of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Mr Willie Bassey, Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, in a statement in Abuja said Biu’s appointment takes effect from December 23.

Bassey said that the appointment is for an initial term of four years.

Biu who had been acting on that position since September.

The statement also confirmed other appointments which included the renewal of the appointment of Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye as Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for a final term of five (5)years and the renewal of the appointment of Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila as Director General of National Lottery Regulatory Commission for a final term of four (4)years.

Similarly, the president approved the renewal of the appointment of Executives for River Basin Development Authorities. They include Engr. Bello Sani Gwarzo of Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority; Engr. Olatunji Babalola Executive Engineering of Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority; Bashir Bala Zango Executive Director Planning of Sokoto Rima Basin Development Authority; Mrs Ononuju Mary Nwabunor Executive Director Agricultural Services of Benin Owena River Basin Development Authority.

The President congratulated all the appointees and urged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear on their duties.
