Police in Port Harcourt, River State, have arrested a 19-year old man simply identified as Ekanem for allegedly impregnating his biological mother
The Public Relation Officer of the River State Police Command, DSP Celestine Kalu, told newsmen in Port Harcourt that Ekanem used charm to lure his mother into having sex with him over a long period and in the process impregnated his own mother.
Police said it discovered during investigation that Ekanem had harbored a strong sexual desire for women for a significant period of time and decided to act upon it.
Ekanem, driven by adolescent desire for sex, went to an herbalist in his community to procure a love charm called ‘For Girls’ .
“Surprisingly, Ekanem had two people in mind to test the potency of the charm : his mother and matron in school.
“While he didn’t get the chance to try the charm on the matron in school, he returned home and tried the charm on his mother who was alone in the house and that was how he started sleeping with his mother.
“Following the instructions and guidelines given to him by the herbalist, Ekanem entered his mother’s room and was surprised at how easily she succumbed to him and he had sex with her, and that was how he continually slept with his mother until she became pregnant.
“It was until she became pregnant that the mother realised that she had been hypnotised by her own son, who not only slept with her but also ended up impregnating her,” police said.
While all this was happening, the father, a security guard was away on duty in another state for several months.
“On discovering that she was pregnant, the mother informed her husband, who denied any involvement in the pregnancy due to his absence during those months.
“As tension escalated, the mother began to suspect that her son had been entering her room.
“With fear in her heart, she confronted Ekanem, who responded with threats of violence if she dared to reveal the truth.
“Overwhelmed and scared, the mother mustered the courage to report the case to the police, leading to the arrest of Ekanem,” Kalu further said.
The police Spokesman disclosed that “during investigations, Ekanem confessed to being responsible for the pregnancy and begged for forgiveness.”
