The outgoing governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Friday visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Bello who was warmly received by President Tinubu later went into a meeting with President Tinubu.
It was gathered that the meeting between Tinubu and Bello focused on crucial matters around security and state of the economy.
Sources privy to the meeting said Bello received commendations from President Tinubu for his exemplary service to the people of Kogi State since assuming office in January 2016.
“This acknowledgement from Mr. President serves as a testament to Governor Bello’s commendable leadership, affirming his dedication and impactful contributions to the prosperity and well-being of the people of Kogi State,” Onogu Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Bello said.
Governor Yahaya Bello’s two-term tenure comes to an end on the 27 January, 2024.
He will be handing over the baton of leadership of the state to is successor , Ahmed Usman Ododo, governor-elect, also of the All Progressives Congress (APC). (vitalnewsngr.com)
