Lokoja – The Ohimege Igu of Koton karfe and Chairman of Kogi Local Government Traditional council, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Isah-koto has admonished Nigerians to live their lives according to the will of Almighty God.
The Royal Father gave the admonition in Lokoja on Wednesday during the seventh-day fidau prayer for the late Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III.
He said time has come for people to be contented with what God has done in their life, describing the late first class monarch as a traditional ruler who accommodated and tolerated all religions.
While eulogizing the late monarch, the Ohimege said Maigari of Lokoja has left a legacy worthy of emulation and prayed to God to grant him paradise.
The Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Shaban who led the fidau prayer described the late Maigari as a devout Muslim who committed his time and resources to the worship of Allah, saying that the late monarch lived a fulfilled life.
Shaban in his sermon , described death as a manifestation of God’s supremacy over all human beings irrespective of class, tribe and enjoined people to be conscious of the day they would render their stewardship before Allah.
Dignitaries who grace the fidau prayer are Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State ably represented by the state commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Salami Ozigi Deedat, the Obaro of Kabba, His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Oladele Owoniyi, Ohimege Igu of Koton karfe, His Royal majesty, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Isah-koto, Representative of HYPPADEC, Alhaji Isah Ozi-Salami.Others are; Rogan of Eggan, Alhaji Hassan Umar, Senator Tunde Ogbeha, Alhaji Musa Ahmadu, Vice Chancellor Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Akinwumi Olayemi, Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Dr Ogbo Usman Salisu, member, representing Lokoja/ Kogi Federal Constituency,Hon.
