The inaugural meeting of a 97 – member Local Organising Coronation Committee (LOC) set up for the coronation of the new Alaafin Oyo will hold its inaugural meeting on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Venue of the meeting is the Alaafin’s Palace, Oyo.
With the committee in place, the ancient Oyo Kingdom in Oyo State is now set for another monumental moment as preparations for the coronation of His Imperial Majesty, Iku Baba Yeye, Alaafin Oyo, Oba (Engr.) Abimbola Akeem Owoade I reach top gear.

Members of the committee include esteemed traditional rulers, government officials, religious leaders, security agencies, cultural representatives, and professionals from various fields.
