Lokoja – Masked gunmen have kidnapped Alhaja Seriya Asuku Raji, mother of the Chief of Staff to the Kogi State governor, Mr Jamiu Asuku.
She was kidnapped late Monday night at the family’s residence in Nagazi, Adavi Local Government area of the state.
The Kogi State Commissioner of police, Mr Idrisu Dabban confirmed the kidnap of the woman in the Kate night of Monday .
Dabban said that his men were already on the trail of the kidnappers, promising that the woman will be reduced alive.
Gunmen, number six were said to have stormed the house at about 7.40pm, shortly after members of the family observed the Ishai prayer in a mosque in the compound.
According to an eye witness, the abductors who were all dressed in black suits came with “Ghana must go bags” suspected to be containing their weapons.
“They came in through the mosque from which they entered the house to abduct her,” the source said.
It was gathered that the victim who was in her late 60s was taken away in a car brought by her abductors. (vitalnews)
