Lokoja – Mr Hakeem Adeshina Yusuf has assumed duty as the 37Th Commissioner of Police in Kogi State.
He replaced CP Edward Egbuka who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police and deployed to Zone 14, Katsina.
Yusuf hails from Lagos State.
He holds a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State in the year 1987.
He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in the year 1990 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and was trained at the Police Academy Annex Kaduna.
He has in the span of over three decades attended courses locally and overseas.
Yusuf has held several Command positions and carried out multiple tasks in his illustrious career.

Yusuf, the new Commissioner of police is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (MNIM) as well as Fellow of the National Defence College of Nigeria (fdc)
He has the requisite expertise, integrity, courage and experience to oversees the affairs the Kogi State Police Command and to consolidate on the numerous achievements of his predecessor.
