Minna – The Managing Director of Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority, Prof. Mohammed Ali, has charged the management staff of the authority to imbibe the spirit of change so as achieve a higher level of efficiency and effective service delivery.
Speaking at Rotational Parastatal servicom unit (PSU) meeting in Minna on Wednesday with the Theme: Inclusive to Improve Performance in the workplace, Ali said this will also ensure optimal performance.
He said that as operators of the engine of governance in delivering effective and efficient services to the public, the management staff must be ready to adapt to fresh ideas and changes to enhance quality service delivery
Represented by Alhaji Yahaya Baba, his Senior Special Assistant, the Managing Director charged the staff to re-focus their approach to their schedules of duties in order to provide quality service in the way government business is conducted.
He explained that the objectives of the workshop was to inspire staff to be focused on the Mission, Vision and core values of competence in citizen focused service delivery.
The Managing Director also harped on the need to improve their knowledge on how to deliver set service standards and strengthening effective grievance redress mechanism.(NAN / vitalnewsngr.com)
