Abuja – The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam, says the first batch of Christian pilgrims will depart Nigeria to Jordan and Israel on June 15.
Pam made the disclosure on Minday in Abuja, at a virtual meeting with states’ pilgrimage leaders and managers.
“The inaugural flight will comprise FCT, Bayelsa pilgrims, and other essential service providers such as the medical personnel, consular, among others,” he said.
The Executive Secretary said that about 360 intending pilgrims would make up the first batch.
He said that the transportation of the second batch of the pilgrims would be on June 24, from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Pam added that the second batch would consist of intending pilgrims from the FCT, Bauchi and Nassarawa states.
According to him, the commission rescheduled the movement of pilgrims from May 31 to June 15, due to operational reasons. (NAN/vitalnews)
