Describing Kogi as the nation’s gateway connecting Northern and Southern Nigeria, the Governor noted that the heavy volume of traffic passing through the state places enormous responsibility on his administration to ensure safer highways, efficient traffic management and rapid emergency response.

He stressed that improving road safety remains a shared responsibility, urging stronger partnerships among the Federal Government, state governments and all stakeholders to reduce road crashes and protect the lives of Nigerians.

In a major boost to road safety administration in the state, Governor Ododo announced the elevation of the Senior Special Assistant on Road Safety Matters, Hon.
