Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Taraba State Transition Committee Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator Abubakar Umar Tutare has disclosed that the party is strategically positioned to take over the State.
Tutare stated this in Jalingo on Thursday while interacting with Journalists.
He said that the party has successfully launched its offices across the 16 Local Government Areas of the State, saying it already has strong structures at all the polling units and wards across the State.
He further said the poor performance of the present administration led by Governor Agbu Kefas will make it easier for the party to win the 2027 elections without stress.
He said : “As at today, we are holding unit, ward and local government congresses.
“The state congress will hold on the 11 of this month. We have opened offices in all the 16 Local Government Areas and the State office.
“Let me tell you for free that the ADC is the party to beat come 2027.
“Taraba State is the Fifth in terms of E-registration in the country as at last count.
“The people are quite enthusiastic to join the party and this was made very clear during the launching of our Local Government offices.
“Besides that, Tarabans are tired of this failed administration in the State.
“They want a strong and reliable alternative and that is what we offer.
“They have already done most of our campaign for us by their gross failure.
“We would present a government that will be in the State and work from here rather than be a visiting governor.”
Senator Tutare further disclose that after intense calls from various individuals and sectors of the State, he is considering contesting the governorship of the State in 2027.
“Despite the herculean task that lies ahead for the next governor due to how badly the present governor has run the State to the ground and literally mortgaged the future of the State through fruitless debts running close to a Trillion Naira, we are sure that an ADC government would pick the pieces and introduce a new lease of life to the state,” he stated.
Tutare therefore called on the people of the state to bury their religious and tribal sentiments and rally round a credible candidate of the ADC that would pull the state out of the woods. (vitalnewsngr.com)
