The pioneer President of National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), Comrade Olajide Itiafa Ayodele, has urged the newly elected Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Engr. Aliyu Momoh Ezzu to give Ogori/Magongo Local Government a true sense of belonging in the party.
Ayodele made the appeal in a statement he issued to congratulate Engr. Ezzu on his emergence as the new state Chairman of APC.
The former NAKOSS President in the statement circulated among media houses in Lokoja on Thursday emphasized the need for the new state leadership of APC to “ensure that Ogori/Magongo is made to truly feel that it is part and parcel of the state.”
The statement was signed personally by Ayodele, the pioneer President of NAKOSS Lwho hails from Ogori in Ogori/Magongo Local Government.
Ayodele described Engr. Ezzu’s emergence as both historic and reassuring, expressing the hope that it would end years of marginalization suffered by the people of Ogori/Magongo.
“Warmest congratulations to a dear comrade and a distinguished Engineer! May your tenure be marked by unprecedented progress and prosperity for our state.
“As we celebrate this milestone, the good people of Ogori/Magongo are filled with hope and anticipation for a chance to represent the Okene/Ogori-Magongo Constituency at the National Assembly.
“We are brothers, and even with the honour of holding the Governorship and other key positions, including the party leadership, the spirit of equity should remain the guiding principle.
“In the spirit of brotherhood and mutual support, I kindly urge you to look into this matter,” Ayodele said while extending felicitations to Ezzu.
He expressed optimism that given the new chairman’s exposure and disposition, he would address the perceived marginalisation being suffered by the people of Ogori/Magongo.
He congratulated him and prayed that his leadership will make the party stronger and unite members across the state.
