The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has fixed Saturday, September 27, 2025 for the conduct of congresses that will produce new state executives of the party in 13 states across the country.
The party’s National Organising Secretary, Umar M. Bature shared this information on Friday on his X handle.
Bature said the party is also planing to conduct elections for new executives at ward, local government in the 13 states.
He stated that appeals related to the state congresses will be taken on Wednesday, September 30.
However, he, said the state congresses will be preceded by ward congresses to elect ward executives and three ad-hoc delegates are scheduled on Saturday, September 13.
It said appeals from these congresses will be handled on Wednesday, September 17.
“The local government congresses will hold on Saturday, September 20 to elect LGA executives and national delegates.
“Any appeals from the LGA congresses will be considered on Wednesday, September 24,” the party said.
The states involved include Adamawa, Borno, Edo, Kebbi, Kwara, Ondo, Oyo, Kogi, Lagos, Niger, Plateau, and Cross River.
According to Bature, the congresses will kick off with a membership registration period for both existing and new members running from Friday, August 1 through Saturday, August 30, 2025.
This will be followed by the sale of nomination and ad-hoc forms, scheduled between Monday, August 18 and Friday, August 29.
“This is to enable all intending aspirants the opportunity to purchase nomination forms. Submission of forms by aspirants will close on Friday, September 5.
