Some elements suspected to be men of the under world have vandalised Prime FM Radio Station, Lokoja, Kogi State, and carted away valuable broadcast equipment worth millions of Nigeria.
The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, July 26, 2025.
Prime FM radio located at Jimgbe, a community on Lokoja – Ajaokuta road is owned by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
The hoodlums were said to have arrived the station at about 2am in a vehicle fully armed with dangerous weapons like guns and cutlasses.
Some of the items carted away include three transmitter copper line, Automatic Antenna change over, a set of transmitter copper, twenty two RF Amplifier modules, one hundred am battery, one console and Radio for Audio streaming.

Haruna said the hoodlums did not rough handled him, after burgling into the station to gather the items.
He stated that the hoodlums warned him to keep silent over their operation since they were not his personal property.
Reacting to the development, the General Manager of the station, Alhaji Adeiza Momohjimoh described the action of the hoodlums as unfortunate and showed how callous criminals could go about their activities.
AMomohjimoh described the incident as a setback that would take time for the station to come back on air.
He said that a report has been made to the police over the incident.
He appealed to the security agencies to help secure media houses in the state, especially in the night to forestall such occurrences in future.
The General Manager also appealed to the management of FRCN to look into the possibility of providing perimeter fencing of the radio station to safeguard the property.
