President Bola Tinubu, on Friday held a closed-door meeting with the National Security Adviser, Service Chiefs, and Heads of Intelligence Agencies at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Speaking, President Tinubu urged the armed forces to unite in combating insecurity across the country.
Also addressing the Pressmen at the Statehouse, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, expressed his optimism to neutralize insecurity while appealing to Nigerians to be conscious of fallacious clips.
Musa said : “We want to appeal to all Nigerians not to get tired and should be wary of fake news that is spread out.
“Most of the videos being spread out are videos from other countries or old videos, making it look like it is we.
“We have reassured the President that we are fully in control and working diligently.
“There is a global surge in terrorist activities across the Sahel region, and this pressure has spilled into Nigeria due to the nature of our porous borders.”
