He said caring for the orphan, widows and the vulnerable persons attract special reward from the Almighty Allah.

“The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did encourage Muslims to care for orphans and sponsor an orphan and stared that great spiritual rewards are attached to that noble act, especially during the festive period so that they’ll not feet the absence of their departed ones.

“Orphan sponsorship is not charity alone, rather it is an investment in their future for years to come,” he said.

Alhaji Tenimu Nasidi who is also the Coordinator of the foundation said one doesn’t need to be “wealthy before we assist, we can do it with the little resources. If you do, Allah would multiply it and reward us.”

He also said that investing in the welfare of orphans, widows and the vulnerable persons must not be in the month of Ramadan alone .

” Islam significantly emphasizes the importance of orphaned children and asks us to provide them with due care through both the Quran and the Sunnah.

“Allah says in the Surah Al-Insan, 76:8; “And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also said: “I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be in Paradise like these two,” and he gestured with his index and middle fingers together. (Sahih Bukhari)

“These teachings not only present it as a moral obligation to care and sponsor an orphan but as a spiritual way to bring one closer to Allah.

“Sponsorship has been a good tool in fulfilling this responsibility, as it offers complete support to cater to the child’s total needs, which include his or her physical, emotional, and educational aspects.

“We must bear in mind that one day, our children, grandchildren they’ll become orphans.

“Definitely, if you assist orphans during your life time, Allah will stand behind your children and grandchildren in your absence,” He explained.

The Coordinator called on
Muslims to invest in their tomorrow through sadaqatul jariya.

He commended the entire late Alhaji Musa Nasidi family and the Masjid committee for their untiring efforts and contributions to the success of this noble work, paying that Allah reward them all accordingly (vitalnewsngr.com)
