Bello in a statement obtained by Vital News on Sunday described Zwingina as a man of impeccable character.

Recall that Senator Zwingina, served as the Chairman of the Yahaya Bello Presidential Campaign Council in the build up to the All Progressives Congress primary election that produced  President Bola Tinubu.

The late Senator Zwingina was the Director-General of the MKO Abiola Campaign Organisation during the historic June 12 1993 election.

“As a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who represented Adamawa South Senatorial District, a former Senate Majority Leader, he was outstanding in his contributions on the floor of the Senate towards the promotion of growth-oriented policies and good governance.

“Senator Zwingina’s contributions to the democratic development of Nigeria from the 80s to this day will remain indelible in the annals of Nigeria’s history.

“Nigeria has lost a rare political and academic gem.

“I wish his immediate family, the government and people of Adamawa State, and all of us who cherished his sacrifices for this nation, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace,” the former Governor said.
