The Kingmakers of Isolo, an ancient Awori Yoruba speaking community in Lagos State have elected Prince Jimmy Adetokunbo Yekini-Goloba as the new Osolo of Isolo.

Reports said Prince Yekini-Goloba was unanimously selected by the Kingmakers out of the 15 contestants to the throne.

All the four Kingmakers who approved the selection of Prince Jimmy Adetokunbo Yekini-Goloba are Chief Mukaila Adesegun Agbabiaka who leads the Kingmakers and represents Jagun Aluko arm of the Kingmakers; Chief Rahman Mustapha aka Inufele who represents Afobaje Ogodo; Chief Rasak Onikosi of Osuro Kingmaker family; and Chief Saka Omotoba from Omotoba Kingmaker family.

Earlier, the four families which made up the Alagbeji Ruling House had set up their own screening committee which screened the aspirants and present their different candidates to the Kingmakers.

This screening committee was led by a former member of the House of Representatives who represented Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency II between 2011 and 2015.
