The Senator representing Anambra South in the Senate,Ifeanyi Ubah, is dead.

He had been in the hospital for weeks now before succumbing to death this morning.
His condition reportedly became critical in the past 48 hours.

Until his death, Ubah was elected Senator in 2019 on the platform of the Young Progressive Party, YPP, and reelected on that platform in 2023.

Ubah contested the 2021 Anambra governorship election and came fourth in a contest won by Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
In September 2022, Ubah narrowly escaped an assassination attempt by gunmen while traveling to Nnewi in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State.
His convoy was attacked, resulting in the deaths of at least five people, including two police officers, according to the police.
