President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of a new Governing Council for the Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF) and the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
President Tinubu’s Spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale confirmed this in a statement in Abuja.
According to him, the new Chairman of MDGIF Governing Council is the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources (Gas) while MDGIF Executive Director is Mr. Oluwole Adama while MDGIF Governing Council Secretary is Mr. Joseph Tolorunshe.
For the NMDPRA , the new Chief Executive is Engr. Farouk Ahmed.
MDGIF Independent Members are Ms. Amina Maina (North-East),
Mr. Edet David Ubong, (South-South) and Mr. Tajudeen Bolaji Musa (South-West).
They are to be joined by the representatives of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Federal Ministry of Finance.
“The President mandates the appointees to discharge their duties by upholding the highest standards of transparency, discipline, and patriotism in line with his administration’s drive to enhance the role of the gas sector in achieving robust and inclusive economic growth for Nigeria, ” Ngelale said.
