Police in Plateau State have arrested eight suspects in connection with the killings of over 200 people on Christmas Eve in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi local government areas of the state.
Spokesman of the State Police Command, Alfred Alabo, said the eight suspects were arrested following a tip-off by members of the affected communities.
Alabo explained that the eight suspects are at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) undergoing interrogation.
“As of the last count, eight people have been arrested, currently under investigation and they have been moved to the state CID, where the AIG Zone 4 and Commissioner of Police are overseeing the investigation,” he stated.
