The Kogi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KOCCIMA) says its 2023 Trade Fair scheduled to take off on November 20 in Lokoja is aimed at boosting economic activities of Kogi State.
The President of KOCCIMA, Chief Femi Ajisafe stated this on Tuesday in Lokoja when he paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adeiza Momojimoh.
Ajisafe said he came to brief and seek the co-operation of the media for the forthcoming Trade Fair.
The President noted with seriousness the need to revive the tradition of trade fair in the State.
Ajisafe lamented the lull in economic activities in the state, saying this is partly due to the absence of regular trade fair.
He said Kogi State is very key to the human and natural resources in the country, urging the support of the Media.
According to him, the theme of the Trade Fair is “Driving Small, Scale and Medium Enterprises Through Value Addition to Order Sustainable Economy ” has been well packaged to attract local and foreign investors.
The KOCCIMA 2023 Trade Fair according to the President, promises to turn around the business opportunities in the state for growth and development.
Ajisafe then urged government, private sectors and individuals to join hands in ensuring that the trade fair is successful.
The trade fair will hold from November 20 to December 3 in Lokoja.
In his response, the Chairman of Kogi State NUJ, Comrade Adeiza Momohjimoh, described Trade Fair as veritable platform for expanding business frontiers.
He praised the leadership of KOCCIMA for seizing the opportunity to show case the State rich business opportunities.
The Chairman promised the support and co-operation of the media to KOCCIMA in its efforts to hold a successful trade fair.
