The Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN) has congratulated the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, on his recent appointment as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The group in a statement obtained by Vital News on Friday also congratulated the newly appointed
Chairman/CEO, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Alhaji Jalal Ahmad Arabi and five other Media Executives who were recently appointed into various leadership positions across the information and national orientation sector.
The statement signed by the MMPN national president, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, said the appointments were timely and suitable for their respective positions.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for funding the appointees suitable for the various positions, describing them as square pegs in square holes going by their previous achievements and pedigrees.
The MMPN president, however ,called on the minister, the NAHCON CEO and the media executives to live up to the expectations of millions of Nigerian Muslims and non-Muslims alike and surpass the achievements of their predecessors in office.
Quoting from the Glorious Qur’an, Balogun also urged the appointees to fear Allah in all their dealings.
The statement reads: “Remember Allah gives power to whom He pleases… (Q3 verse 26).
” So, we implore you to do your best with the fear of Allah and remember that you shall be accountable for all your deeds (Q99 verses 6-8) and “… every soul shall find itself confronted with whatever good it has done.’’ (Quran 3 verse 30).
“We pray Allah lead you to success in this new but familiar terrain. Allah should make this new challenge an easy route for you to earn His pleasure and attain Al-Jannah Firdaus.”, he prayed.
