The Special Adviser to Kogi state governor on Internal and Corporate Affairs, Hon. Abdulkarim Isah, aka ECOMOG, has resigned his appointment.
His letter of resignation sighted by Vital News was dated August 16, 2023 and addressed to Governor Yahaya Bello through the office of the Secretary to the State Government.
The former Special Adviser was the immediate past Chairman of Kogi Local Government with headquarters at Koton Karfe.
Isah said he resigned to join Social Democratic Party (SDP) where he can better serve the interest of his people.
“So, the question is whether I have been able to fulfil this right of my people over me.
“I do not need to think twice before answering, hence the decision to move on to explore other avenues in the service and interest of that same people,” he said.
Shedding more light on his resignation, Isah in a statement circulated among newsmen in Lokoja said it would be counter-productive for Kogi, which had always been in the limelight, to remain in “doom” as it is now under Governor Yahaya Bello.
“It is sad that the APC is dead in the state due Alh. Yahaya Bello’s decision to imposed Ododo as the APC candidate.
“Therefore, we need to align ourselves to a political party that will bring visible development to our people.
“We are going to a political party that will receive and help us to realise our dreams,” he said.
