Lokoja – Over 300 former political appointees under the administration of former Governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris Wada, have commended
Governor Yahaya Bello for his excellent performance since his assumption of office in 2015.
The former political appointees who gave the commendation when they paid a courtesy call on Bello in Lokoja on Sunday applauded him over what they described as the complete turn around of critical sectors of Kogi State.
They then declared their total support for his administration and leadership style.
The former appointees, comprising of Commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants, special assistants, local government caretaker chairmen, secretaries, councilors among others
also declared their total support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 11 election, Ahmed Usman Ododo.
They described Ododo as a detrabilised personality and promised to ensure his victory in the election.
Abubakar Sadiq Ainoko, a former Commissioner for local government who spoke on their behalf expressed happiness that the first flyover in the state was constructed by Governor Bello.
He said the completion of the project had improved the rating of Lokoja in terms of aesthetics.
‘’The Reference Hospital at Okene and of course the establishment of two citadels of learning – Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara (CUSTECH) and Kogi State University, Kabba -are also legacies that the people of Kogi State will cherish till eternity.
“Mention must also be made of the completion of Anyigba-idah road and several other landmark projects of your New Direction government.’’
Ainoko thanked the governor for approving the courtesy visit in record time despite his tight schedule, asserting that tBello had shown his love and magnanimity which had endeared him to many hearts, including themselves.
Also speaking, a former commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Kayode Olowomoro, commended the governor for his developmental stride across the state, especially his effort in securing lives and livelihoods of the people.
The former appointees also appreciated the recognition given to Captain Idris Wada, when he was the first Elder to be visited for consultation by the Governorship Candidate of APC, Usman Ododo.
They described the action as a display of maximum respect, which gladdened their hearts, while also expressing commitment and readiness to support Governor Bello’s drive towards achieving a Kogi State of everyone’s dreams. (vitalnewsngr.com)
