Jos – Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has imposed a 24-hour curfew on the Mangu Local Government Area following incessant attacks that have led to loss of lives and properties in the area.
The Director Of Press And Public Affairs, Gyang Bere announced this in a statement in Jos on Sunday.
According to him, the decision to impose the curfew was taken after consultation with the state security council.
He said the curfew was imposed to restore law and order in the affected communities.
As a result of the stay-at-home order, movements within the local government area have been banned until further notice.
Only security personnel and persons on essential duties are free to move about according to the state government.
The government directed security agencies to enforce total compliance with the order.
