Your Sacrifices Will Not Be In Vain – Bello Assures Workers On May Day

Lokoja – Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has congratulated workers in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s International Workers’ Day celebration.

Bello’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued on Monday in Lokoja by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Mohammed.

The governor commended the workers for their untiring efforts at ensuring peace in the country

“This day provides an opportunity to recognise and appreciate the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices made by workers who form the backbone of our economy,” Belli said

The governor said he is particularly proud of Kogi State workers, describing them as second to none in the country.

He expressed appreciation to them for their significant contribution to the development of the state and the nation.

He also acknowledged the critical role of workers in the growth of the country and assuref them that their sacrifices will not be in vain.

“The governor’s administration recognises the substantial contribution of workers in various sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, and manufacturing, and credits their tireless efforts for the success of the state.

“Despite the challenges of the past year, workers have remained committed to their work,” the statement said.

Bello then pledged his administration’s commitment to continue supporting them, creating an enabling environment for them to thrive, and improving their working conditions and welfare.

“On this Workers’ Day celebration, the governor once again expresses his heartfelt appreciation to all workers in Kogi State, acknowledging their hard work, dedication, and sacrifices for the state,” Onogwu said in the statement.
