Oyo – A giant elephant was on Monday sighted roaming the forest in a boundary community between Oke Ogun in Oyo State and Kwara state
It was sighted by farmers clearing land in preparation for the next planting season in Gobo community.
Gobo also shares boundary with Benin Republic.
Villagers said they have been seeing the animal around in the last three months
A farmer Adesope Habeeb Olamide confirmed seen the animal.
According to him, the elephant is likely to have strayed in from Republic of Benin or a neighbouring country. (vitalnews)
