Ilorin – The Provost of the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Dr Ayinde Shehu Jawondoi has paid a condolence visit to the patents of Aminat Tajudeen, a 100 level student who slumped and died in the school premises on Wednesday.
During the visit, the Provost sympathised with Aminat’s patents, describing her sudden death as shocking and painful.
Amina suddenly slumped and died at about 1:30 pm in a classroom while receiving lecture alongside other students.
The deceased was said to have earlier in the day collected her gown in preparation for the college’s matriculation ceremony scheduled for Thursday, April 13.
Eye witnesses said Aminat was rushed to the school clinic but all attempts to revive her failed.
She has since been buried at Muslim cemetery, Osere, Ilorin.
Spokesperson of the college, Mrs Abibat Zubair said the staff and students in very sad over the sudden death of Amina.
She said that a one minute silence was observed in her honour during the matriculation ceremony.(vitalnewsngr.com)
