Gospel music Crooner, Sammie Okposo is dead.
Okposo was said to have slumped and died in his Lagos home in the early hours of Friday.
His family confirmed his untimely death in a statement on Friday.
The statement issued on behalf of his family by Hector Okposo said the family announced his demise with a heavy heart.
The statement said more details about the burial would be communicated soon.
It said the family is consoled by the fact that Sammie is with Jesus and singing with the angels.
The statement reads in full: “It is with a heavy heart but with total submission to God that I announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, minster of God, Sammie Okposo.
“Sammie slept and went to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, November 25, 2022.
“More details about the burial will be communicated soon.
“We are consoled because we know that he is with Jesus singing with angels, we kindly request that the family is allowed to grieve peacefully at this time.
