The member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe has been expelled from the All Progressives Congress (APC) over alleged anti-party activities.
The decision to expel Akande – Sadipe was taken during an enlarged meeting of Oluyole Local Government chapter of APC, held at Community Primary School, Olomi, Ibadan.
She was expelled through a voice vote of stakeholders and members of the party at the meeting.
The Chairman of the APC in the local government, Alhaji Waheed Akinleye formally announced the expulsion of Akande -Sadipe after the meeting.
He said the action was decided after the party received and considered a report on anti-party activities of Akande – Sadipe by her Ward 10.
Akinleye said the report was investigated and found to be true, hence the joint decision to expelled the House of Representatives member.
Akinleye explained that, even though Akande – Sadipe remains a member of the House of Representatives, but the general public are to cease and desist from doing any business that has to do with APC with her.
Also, a former Chairman, Oluyole local government, Hon James Adeleke said, it was so unfortunate and unexpected of a politician of Akande-Sadipe status to treat her constituents with such high level of disdain.
He added that the decision to expelled her was well taken by all leaders and stakeholders in the local government.
Also, the Chairman, Ward 10, Pa Segun Akintunde said Akande- Sadipe had for long abandoned members of APC in the ward and had been fraternising with non members of APC.
Akintunde added that the lawmaker had been called and warned severally to change her ways but remained adamant. (vitalnewsngr.com)
